Spelling Techniques
1. Write, Copy, Spell - Fold paper into thirds, write the word in one column, copy it into the second column (spell in your head), cover 1st and 2nd column, then spell from memory, check
2. Reverse chaining - Write the spelling word with dashes in between letters, then write again leaving off last letter (say the last letter in head), repeat until no more letters, then covering the word, go back up to check your spelling

3. Highlighting the Hard Part (HHP) - Look for spelling words you have difficulty with, write the hard parts larger in each word.
Ex. beAUtiful traGedy happiLY
4. Reverse chaining by syllable - write whole word, then write word again without the last syllable (spell in head), continue until word is gone.
